"You're laying it on thick." But she's definitely flattered. She knows she's attractive, but she gets put down often enough that she forgets as often as she doesn't. Getting chased by a teen, at least, if that's what's actually happening, is a huge ego boost after such a long streak of ugly, bony, big hands, elbows like shivs. She bats her eyelashes at him, willing to play along, goofing off.

She picks apart the pickle with her fingernails and takes a bite.

"Yep. It's pretty disgusting." Washing it down with gin doesn't make it much less so. "This is a terrible date you're taking me on. I'm going to leave you with the bill and then call the authorities on your crimes against fashion."
