"So you'd rather stand on the docks closer to the shore line in case something comes?" He said with curious doubt. A brow raised as he looked up at the dock from the boat.

"We're not going to be safe, on water or land. I can at least protect you if we stick close." he said, then looked to the pole and the boat. "How 'bout we take turns. Stay on the dock, keep the boat tethered so I can't go far."
